(May 3, 2026)  On Friday, the Baltimore County Police Department announced that their robbery detectives charged 34-year-old Oscar Bladimir Argueta Argueta with kidnapping and second-degree assault following an abduction that went down in the area of Vintage Court and Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville, on Thursday, April 30.

Back Story: At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, police responded to Cockeysville Middle School after a student reported she had been abducted. The student, a 12-year-old girl, told officers she was walking to school when she was approached by a male who identified himself as a family friend and persuaded her to get into his vehicle.

Fox 45 News reported that Argueta drove his victim around the area and stopped near Greentop Road and a nearby cemetery.  The girl told police that when the vehicle was stopped, Argueta touched her leg and stomach area before climbing into the backseat with her and asking if he could kiss her.

Court documents stated that after the victim began to curse at him, he stopped his advances toward her and drove her to school. He apologized to the girl and asked her not to tell anyone what happened. Once the girl arrived at school, she reported her kidnapping experience.

Law enforcement was able to identify the kidnaper as Argueta through surveillance video they obtained from Cockeysville Middle School when he dropped his victim off at the school. After detectives identified Argueta as the kidnapper, they were able to locate him and take him into custody.
