On June 21, Florida’s Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) reported on a coordinated effort conducted between their Criminal Investigations Detectives, along with SWAT and the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force, that resulted in the arrests of 36-year-old Jameon Boulware and 40-year-old Nicole Decosta. Both individuals were wanted on felony charges of attempted first-degree murder.

Those charges originated in North Carolina, which led detectives to issue warrants for the pair. In an attempt to evade capture, Boulware and Decosta fled to Florida, hiding in Indian River County.

Decosta was apprehended as she exited a friend’s residence. Approximately eight hours later, Boulware was captured following a high-risk traffic stop conducted by detectives. The suspected firearm used in the attempted murder act was located later that evening.

“Our team did an outstanding job tracking these attempted murder suspects. We will continue to work with detectives in North Carolina to assist in processing evidence and our jail staff will work on getting them returned to face justice. To the fugitives out there who think Indian River County is a place you can hide, let this case be a lesson that we will find you.” ~ Sheriff Eric Flowers
