Edgewood man, 18, accidentally shoots his brother with unserialized 3D printed handgun

[April 30, 2025)  Earlier today, law enforcement officials in Harford County announced that at approximately 1:56 p.m., on Tuesday, April 29, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Yorkshire Drive in Edgewood for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies discovered an 18-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the upper leg. Deputies rendered first aid and applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg prior to the arrival of medics.

The victim was subsequently transported to a local trauma center for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.  The investigation was assumed by detectives with the HCSO Criminal Investigations Division. Deputies from the Forensic Services Unit also responded to assist.

Through their investigation, detectives were able to determine that the victim’s brother, Kylee DeLilly, 18, of Edgewood, accidentally discharged a handgun, striking the victim.

Deputies from the HCSO Crime Suppression Unit, with the assistance of officers from the Aberdeen Police Department, were able to locate Kylee DeLilly in Aberdeen where he wa tajen into custody.

During a search of the DeLilly residence, detectives located and seized an unserialized 3D printed handgun, a 50 round magazine, and ammunition.  Kylee DeLilly was transported to the Harford County Detention Center and charged with:

  • Reckless Endangerment,
  • Possession of a Regulated Firearm under the age of 21,
  • Possession of a Regulated Firearm by a Prohibited Person, and
  • Possession of an Unserialized Handgun.

After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Kylee DeLilly was held without bond.
