Florida man arrested for child sex abuse also busted with child porn
Robert William Sanchez, 34, was arrested on December 11 after major crimes executed a search warrant of his home located in the 22400 block of Central Avenue in Punta Gorda, Florida. The investigation into Sanchez began on November 9 after allegations of sexual abuse of a minor were reported, according to officials with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, who was under 12, reported sexual abuse in multiple locations for several years.
The search warrant of Sanchez’s home uncovered digital images consistent with child erotic and child pornography. Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Charlotte County Jail on the following charges:
- Sexual Battery by 18 YOA or Older Victim Under 12 YOA
- Possess Photograph of Sexual Performance by a Child
Sanchez is currently incarcerated with no bond.
