A Florida woman’s desperate cries for help during a 911 call were heard moments before she was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend, according to court records and investigators.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced that Kyle Sanchez, 35, has been charged with Premeditated First-Degree Murder with a Weapon in the death of Amanda Roark, 37, following a domestic violence incident at a home on Tuscan Loon Drive in the Palm River area.

Authorities say deputies responded to the residence shortly after 3 p.m. on June 19 after receiving an emergency 911 call. Court documents cited by local media indicate that Roark called dispatchers and could be heard pleading, “Stop” and “You’re killing me” before the call ended.

According to investigators, Sanchez called 911 approximately 12 minutes later and allegedly told dispatchers he had murdered his girlfriend.

When deputies arrived, they found Roark dead inside the home with severe upper-body trauma. Sanchez was also at the residence and was transported to Tampa General Hospital with minor injuries. Officials said he remained hospitalized as of Saturday, delaying the booking process and the release of a mugshot.

Detectives later determined that Sanchez had killed Roark while the two were together inside the home. The sheriff’s office described the case as a domestic-related homicide and confirmed that all parties involved had been accounted for.

Prosecutors are reportedly seeking to have Sanchez held without bond as the case moves through the court system. The investigation remains ongoing.
