Harford County Public Schools announces ‘2026 Teacher of the Year’ nominees

(February 9, 2026) Earlier today, the Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) unveiled the list of 54 exceptional teachers nominated for the 2026 Teacher of the Year award. These outstanding educators have been selected to represent their schools and will now enter the next stage of the selection process, which will ultimately lead to the naming of five finalists.

The winner of the 2026 HCPS Teacher of the Year will be announced during the district’s Celebration of Excellence in Education, held on April 16, 2026, at Edgewood High School. The annual event honors the achievements of HCPS employees across all sectors, including education, administration, operations, and transportation.

This year’s nominees will compete for the coveted title of Teacher of the Year, with finalists set to be revealed by the end of February. HCPS congratulates each nominee for their dedication to fostering excellence in the classroom and wishes them the best of luck as they advance through the selection process.
