Singer D4vd cancels tour after body of missing girl, 15, found dead in trunk of his Tesla
It looks like 20-year-old singer D4vd (pronounced “David”,) has cancelled his current tour for the U.S. and abroad. D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, is currently embroiled in a scandal following the disturbing discovery of a dead body found in the trunk of a car registered in his name.
Known for viral hits like Romantic Homicide and Here With Me, D4vd rose to fame via TikTok and signed with Interscope Records in 2022. His debut album Withered was released earlier in 2025, and he had been touring internationally.
At the same time, an expanded album set to debut yesterday — Withered: Marcescence, with an announced release date of Sept.19, according to Dv4d’s Instagram — has not appeared on streaming services. ~ CBC
The singer’s remaining U.S. shows and several international dates have been canceled.
On September 8, a Tesla registered to D4vd was found abandoned on a Hollywood street and later towed. Workers at the impound lot reported a foul odor, leading police to discover a severely decomposed body in the vehicle’s trunk. ABC News reports that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the remains on September 17 as Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old girl from Lake Elsinore who had been missing since April 2024.

The body was reportedly wrapped in a bag, and the cause of death remains undetermined. Police are investigating the case as a homicide, though D4vd has not been accused of any wrongdoing and is said to be cooperating with authorities, according to Forbes.
D4vd and the deceased Celeste Rivas were known to one another and the relationship between the two is currently under intense investigation and public scrutiny.  Meanwhile, the rumor mill alleges that the two were at one time involved in a romantic relationship.
