Tulsa son shoots his mom five times with an AR-15

(Augst 1, 2025) Just hours ago, the Tulsa Police Department announced that on July 31, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers were called to respond to a shooting at the 89 East Apartments near 71st and Memorial.
The call to police was actually made by the shooter, who called to say that he had just shot his mother.
When dispatchers called the number back, a woman answered the phone and confirmed she had been shot by her son – and shot multiple times, according to News-9. When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they say the son walked out of the apartment and surrendered.
The shooting suspect, identified as 18-year-old Christian Miller, was taken into custody.
The victim, a 39-year-old woman, told officers her son was upset with her and shot her five times with an AR-15. She was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery. As of this writing, the mother’s condition is unknown.
The son, Christian Miller, was arrested for domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
