Two teens armed with AR-15s, a Glock and a rifle busted following ATM armed robbery

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies with Florida’s St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot of a RaceTrac gas station located at 8606 S US Highway 1. Their investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, identified as Josemanuel Brizei, 18, and Jaxon Diaz-Tubito, 18, both of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Both young men are facing charges of Robbery with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The victims, both juveniles, were in the parking lot creating social media content using a sum of cash that one of them had recently withdrawn from a nearby ATM. While filming, one of the victims was approached by a male seated in the driver’s seat of a nearby vehicle. This individual, later identified as Jaxon Diaz-Tubito, motioned for the victim to come over and inquired about the cash.

As both victims approached the vehicle, one observed Diaz-Tubito produce a semi-automatic handgun. At that moment, the rear left passenger door opened, and a second male, later identified as Josemanuel Brizei, exited the vehicle holding a “small black AR-15 style rifle.” The suspects then demanded the victims’ money before fleeing the scene in their vehicle.

Deputies quickly flooded the area using the vehicle description provided by the victims. The suspect vehicle was located shortly thereafter, and both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

“If you commit a violent crime in this county, you will be caught,” said Sheriff Richard DelToro. “We have zero tolerance for violent crime. Thanks to the swift and coordinated work of our road patrol deputies and detectives, two armed criminals are off the streets. I’m proud of their relentless dedication—our top priority is keeping this community safe.”

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a fully loaded Glock 9mm handgun equipped with a 30-round extended magazine, as well as a Zastava Arms 7.62×39 rifle with a fully loaded 30-round magazine.

Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the St. Lucie County Jail.
