(May 11, 2026) A 33-year-old Upper Marlboro woman was killed early Sunday in a violent, multi-vehicle crash involving a Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus in Anne Arundel County, according to Maryland State Police.
The victim, identified as Yolanda Hardy, was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision unfolded around 1:15 a.m. on May 10 at the intersection of Dorsey Road and Telegraph Road in Glen Burnie. Hardy was a passenger in a Ford Explorer involved in the crash.
Investigators say the crash began when a Chevrolet Camaro, driven by 22-year-old Corbin Congedo, was traveling westbound on Dorsey Road at a high rate of speed. For reasons still under investigation, the Camaro struck a Mazda CX-30 traveling in the same direction. The impact forced the Camaro into the intersection, where it collided with the Ford Explorer and an MTA transit bus that were turning onto Telegraph Road.
The driver of the Ford Explorer, a 38-year-old man, was transported to a local trauma center with injuries. Congedo was also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No additional injuries were reported.
Maryland State Police believe speed and possible impairment may have played a role in the crash. The department’s Crash Team is leading the ongoing investigation, and findings will be reviewed by the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office to determine whether charges will be filed.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department assisted at the scene, where road closures remained in place for approximately three hours as investigators processed evidence.
