Baltimore Police release surveillance video in fatal York Road shooting, seek public’s help identifying suspect

Baltimore homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a person captured on newly released surveillance video following a deadly double shooting outside a north Baltimore convenience store.

The shooting occurred on the night of June 23 in the 5200 block of York Road, near Mega Tobacco & Convenience at 5211 York Road. Officers responded at approximately 10:49 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire and found a 38-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals, where the woman died a short time later. The male victim survived and is expected to recover.

As the investigation continues, the Baltimore Police Department released surveillance footage on June 26 showing a person detectives believe may have information about the case. The individual is seen wearing black pants, black shoes, a black sweatshirt, and a bright yellow jacket. See the still photos and the video below.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the incident to contact investigators at 410-396-2100.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can submit tips through the P3 Tips mobile app, call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587), or visit the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland website. Officials say tipsters whose information leads to felony charges and an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $8,000.
