Arrested: Bogus Edgewater roofer who was wanted for ripping off clients

(May 18, 2025) Just moments ago, Florida’s Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO) announced that Andrew Ingram of Busy Bee Roofing was arrested on the evening of May 17 on criminal warrants of Scheme To Defraud and Grand Theft that were posted against him for scamming a customer in Port Orange out of a $21,000 deposit. He’s also charged with scamming an Edgewater customer out of $9,000.
Background: On April 28, VSO sent out a ‘WANTED” notice for roofer scam artist Andrew Ingram of Busy Bee Roofing in Edgewater, Florida. Tragically, for one homeowner, the 43-year-old Ingram is NOT a licensed roofer; but in November, he accepted a $21,000 deposit toward a new roof for a customer in Port Orange.
Ingram never applied for a permit, delivered material, or showed up on any of his promised start dates. After receiving several excuses, the victim demanded a refund – and never heard from Ingram again.
If you have any information about this case, or if you’re a victim of Andrew Ingram’s malpractice and if you ever lost money to him, please call the VSO Financial Crimes Unit at 386-254-1537.
