Baltimore County gym teacher arrested for inappropriately touching minor students

On June 18, the Baltimore County Police Department announced that their Crimes Against Children Unit detectives arrested a local teacher, 28-year-old Jordan Adams, following reports that he inappropriately touched students at Northwest Academy in Pikesville, Baltimore County. Adams, who was a gym teacher at the school, has been charged with multiple counts of second-degree assault, according to police.
Northwest Academy reportedly serves students in the 6th through 8th grades. According to charging documents, an alleged victim said she felt uncomfortable after Adams put his hand on her thigh.
“Each time he stopped near her, he would physically rub her. Each time the defendant touched her, she felt uncomfortable,” according to charging documents.
Another alleged victim said there was more than one instance during the past school year where the defendant would rub her hand and call her cute, charging documents stated. ~ WBAL-TV
The former teacher was being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Detectives are asking parents and family members of students to contact the Department at (410) 887-7720, if they have additional information regarding Adams or believe their child may also be a victim.
