Two men charged with March 2025 Park Heights shooting murder

On June 26, police in Baltimore City announced the arrests of 33-year-old Joseph Hubbard and 32-year-old Darius Bell in connection to a shooting murder that occurred back in March in the City’s Northwest District.  According to police, the victim in this case has been identified as 30-year-old Christopher Banks, who was killed on March 15, 2025, in the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue.

On March 15, 2025, at approximately 9:44 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to a store located in the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue for a report of a shooting.  After police arrived on the scene, they discovered Banks, who was suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics transported Banks to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to Fox 45 News in Baltimore, investigators were able to obtain surveillance footage showing Hubbard and Bell entering the store to kill Banks.

On June 20, Warrant Apprehension detectives & U.S. Marshals arrested Joseph Hubbard and Darius Bell at a home in Baltimore County. Both men were transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they were both charged with first-degree murder.
