Steve Miller Band cancels entire 2025 tour and blames it on the weather

On July 17, classic rock ‘n roller Steve Miller announced that the Steve Miller Band was cancelling their 2025 Tour – and the band is blaming the cancellation on the extreme weather we’re all experiencing. The tour was set to kick off in August and run through early November, with nearly three dozen stops across the U.S. including cities in New York, Tennessee, Florida and California, according to The Associated Press.
The band was publicizing the tour right up until the time they announced the cancellation.

On the Steve Miller Band website, the band shared the following message updating their 2025 Tour:

.
The Los Angeles Times shared that although the band wished their fans “peace, love and happiness,” the tour’s cancellation was met by both understanding and skepticism.
On Instagram, several followers said that they understood the rock band’s decision to call off the tour, while others wrote that they found the justification “odd” and speculated on reasons for the abrupt cancellation.
As a life-long Steve Miller fan, and one who was fortunate enough to see him live and in concert back in the 70s, my heart goes out to those ticket holders who won’t be seeing him this year – because he puts on a great and memorable performance. Here’s hoping that all is well in the Steve Miller orbit and that he’ll be back on stage soon.
