(July 23, 2025) Yesterday, mega-streaming service Netflix officially confirmed that production has begun on Season 2 of its hit thriller “All of Us Are Dead,” the Korean YA zombie series that became a global breakout in 2022.  Based on the legendary webtoon by Joo Dong-geun, the first season was an international success, amassing over 560 million viewing hours within 28 days of its premiere. It went on to rank among Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched non-English series of all time after charting in the Top 10 in over 90 countries.

Returning as survivors of the original Hyosan outbreak are Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon. They are joined this season by new cast members Lee Min-jae (Weak Hero: Class 2), Kim Si-eun (Squid Game Season 2), Roh Jae-won (Squid Game Seasons 2 & 3), and Yoon Ga-i, as the outbreak spreads to a new location and a new group of characters is forced into the fight.

Synopsis: After surviving the catastrophic zombie outbreak at Hyosan High, Nam On-jo (Park Ji-hu) is now a university student in Seoul, struggling to move on from the trauma and the friends she lost. But when a new wave of infection suddenly hits Seoul, she finds herself trapped in another deadly fight for survival — this time without the people she once depended on.

All eyes are on how Lee Cheong-san (Yoon Chan-young), Choi Nam-ra (Cho Yi-hyun), and Lee Su-hyeok (Lomon) are now navigating their lives years after the outbreak. Meanwhile, On-jo forms friendships with her university seniors Yong Ma-ru (Lee Min-jae), So Ju-ran (Kim Si-eun), and Lee Jong-a (Yoon Ga-i) — a group that has found ways to survive amidst the zombie apocalypse. Han Du-seok (Roh Jae-won) brings added tension to the story as a team leader within the National Intelligence Service.

All of Us Are Dead” Season 2 is once again directed by Lee JQ (Daily Dose of Sunshine) and Kim Nam-su, with the script by returning writer Chun Sung-il (King the Land). For more on the announcement regarding the Netflix zombie virus that has taken over Seoul, see the video below.
