On Sunday, August 18, patrol deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that a man they were looking for on outstanding warrants was seen in the 6600 block of Darter Court in Ft. Pierce, Florida.  Deputies responded to that location where they found the subject of those warrants, 40-year-old Robert Milano.

When deputies introduced themselves, they said that Milano became combative, struck one of the deputies in the face and then took off running.  The deputies pursued their man and following a brief foot chase, they were able to take Milano into custody without any further altercations.

Now, in addition to his outstanding warrants for possession of cocaine and resisting arrest without violence, Milano is also facing new charges, including battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.

He is currently incarcerated at the St. Lucie County Jail where he’s being held without bond.
