On September 12, Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit announced the arrest of 37-year-old Walter Sevillano on multiple sex offense charges stemming from abuse that occurred between 2023 and 2025. During that timeframe, he was a pastor at Iglesia Cristiana Sanidad Divina located in the 3000 block of Baybriar Road in Dundalk, Maryland.

Police theorize that the abuse occurred at the church and at Sevillano’s Baltimore County home. Sevillano now resides in Abingdon and was initially being detained at the Harford County Detention Center.

WJZ in Baltimore reports that the female victim was 16 when the sexual abuse began in 2023.  At the time, the former Pastor oversaw the girl’s youth group and choir.  The girl went to Sevillano for counseling when she began having troubles at home.

Charging documents state that Sevillano began driving her to and from church by himself, sending her explicit messages and eventually sexually assaulting her.

Police say the alleged abuse took place multiple times a week, at the church, inside the church van, at a house he was working on, and in his own car.  ~ WJZ

Sevillano was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sex offense and sexual abuse of a minor.  According to online court records shared by the Baltimore Banner, Sevillano posted $10,000 bail and was released Friday.

Detectives do believe there may be more victims of Sevillano’s abuse who have yet to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crimes Against Children Unit at 410-887-7720.
