Baltimore City: Arrest made in September’s 5th Street shooting murder

(October 11, 2025) Yesterday, police in Baltimore City announced that an arrest was made regarding a murder that went down in South Baltimore back in September. Homicide Detectives arrested 45-year-old Devin Ash who was taken into custody in connection with the killing of 35-year-old Marlon Pugh, who was shot and killed on September 30, 2025, in the 3700 block of 5th Street.
Investigators arrested Ash at his home on October 1, 2025. Ash was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
Background: On September 30, 2025, at approximately 3:27 p.m., police responded to the 3700 block of 5th Street to investigate a reported shooting.
Upon their arrival, officers located the 35-year-old male victim, Marlon Pugh, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Pugh was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
