On November 14, 2025, South Florida’s Indian River County Sherrif Eric Flowers held a press conference regarding the arrest of Dr. Christopher David Olenek, a local Vero Beach doctor taken into custody following a recent investigation by IRCSO detectives.  Dr. Olenek maintains a home residence in Vero Beach and works as a physician at the East Side Urgent Care facility located on 37th Place in Vero Beach.

The IRCSO has already named at least eight victims who have come forward with accounts of the doctor reportedly asking them to masturbate and making inappropriate comments. ~ CBS-12 News

An investigation into Olenek’s criminal behavior began on July 3, 2025, when the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a victim claiming to have been sexually battered by Olenek.  As the IRCSO investigation evolved, it was discovered that since May of 2011, there had been 8 other reported accusations of sexual harassment and/or battery by Olenek. And since 2011, Olenek has been accused of a total of nine sexually motivated crimes which were reported to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

After reviewing the complaints and interviewing victims, the Sheriff’s Office determined that “Dr. Christopher Olenek has actually and intentionally touched against will therefore, committing a violation of Florida § 784.03(1)(a)(1) Battery.”  On November 13, an arrest warrant was requested to be issued for the arrest of Dr. Christopher David Olenek for violation of the Florida State Statute listed above.

Also yesterday, Sheriff Flowers asked if you have any information related to this investigation or believe you may have also been victimized, to please come forward.
