Teen arrested for making social media death threats against classmates
(February 6, 2026) Robert Alexander, a 16-year-old student at Palatka Junior-Senior High School in Palatka, Florida, was arrested and charged yesterday with threatening to kill classmates after he posted a music video on his social media account naming the students and describing the ways he would kill them.
A dean at the school notified the Palatka County Sheriff’s Office’s youth resource deputies of the video. According to Yahoo! News, Putnam County School District shared on social media that there was no immediate threat identified on campus, and disciplinary action is being taken in accordance with district policy.
The victims told deputies they have classes with Alexander and that he has previously made threats against them – including telling them he would “blow up their houses” and “fight” them. Alexander was charged with three counts of written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism, a second-degree felony. He was booked into the Putnam County Jail and is being transferred to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Volusia.

Opinion: “Based on the victim statements, the threats made by Robert Alexander appear to be serious in nature. It is crucial that he receives the appropriate intervention and support moving forward.” ~ Ace News Today
