Mossy Head man arrested for possessing, transmitting child sexual abuse materials

A 20-year-old Mossy Head, Florida, man is behind bars after investigators say he actively sought out and shared Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) online, culminating in more than 20 felony charges and a $760,000 bond.

Kadyn DeWayne Ainsworth was arrested early Wednesday morning after members of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Bureau Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Honeysuckle Street in Mossy Head.

The arrest followed what authorities described as an extensive investigation sparked by multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Those tips flagged a social media user allegedly downloading, requesting, and transmitting explicit material involving minors.

Investigators traced the online activity through a username and email address, ultimately identifying Ainsworth as the suspect. According to authorities, the investigation revealed that he had been using various online platforms to search for and download child sexual abuse material before distributing it to others. Detectives also allege that Ainsworth requested specific types of videos, including material involving minors between the ages of 10 and 16.

Ainsworth asked for videos to include incestual topics and age ranges of 10-16 years old asking, “not too young bc I like to see them feel and know what’s happening yk.”  ~ Walton County Sheriff’s Office

As a result of the investigation, Ainsworth faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of transmitting child pornography, and one count of using a two-way communication device in the commission of a felony.

He was booked into the Walton County Jail and as of February 26 was  still incarcerated with a $760,000 bond. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
