Updated February 13:  Foster physically dragged his girlfriend out of his house

San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested on February 11 and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail in California on domestic violence charges.  Troubles off the field continue to follow Foster.  On January 12, he was taken into custody in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and charged with second-degree marijuana possession, according to MSN.

Foster’s most recent arrest included charges of suspicion of possessing an assault rifle. He’s currently being held on $75,000 bail according to Yahoo! Sports.

According to The Mercury News in San Jose, Foster also was booked on suspicion of possessing an assault rifle. USA Today cited scanner traffic it had reviewed that included a dispatcher telling an officer at the scene, “The (reporting party) advises there should be at least two AR-15 weapons in the house.”  ~ per Mercury News

Officials with the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department responded yesterday to a Los Gatos residence in response to a disturbance. Los Gatos is located just south of San Jose.  It was at the Los Gatos residence where Foster was arrested without incident according to a report from Sporting News. We take matters of this nature seriously and are gathering all pertinent information.”  NFL rules stipulate that players accused of domestic violence can receive a six-game minimum suspension.

In an updated report from Mercury News, it was reported that the 49ers’ girlfriend told investigators that the linebacker physically dragged her as he was trying to get her out of his home in Los Gatos.  The girlfriend did suffer some injuries, the extent of which were not disclosed.  It was the girlfriend who informed police that Foster had assault weapons inside his home.
