Florida man strangles woman who confronted him about hanging his dog from a noose in a tree
This Florida man did just about anything and everything he could do to get arrested, jailed and catapulted into Ace News Today’s violent criminals’ files.
On August 5 at approximately 9:00 p.m., St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3000 Block of S US Highway 1 in reference to a disturbance. Upon their arrival, deputies met with a woman who said she had been involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, identified as Delfino Rosale, 59, of Ft. Pierce. The argument reportedly began after the victim witnessed Rosales hang one of his dogs from a tree and struck the animal multiple times with a stick.
According to Sheriff Richard Del Toro, Rosales hit the dog because it only responded to Spanish commands instead of English commands. “On scene, once we were there, we discovered the fact that he had not only beaten the dog with a belt that day, but had hung the dog from a tree a couple of days before that,” Del Toro said. ~ WPBF
The woman told deputies that when she confronted Rosales about the incident, he became physically aggressive and placed his hands around her neck, choking her.
The victim’s seven-year-old child was present at the residence during the incident and provided a statement corroborating the woman’s account. During the investigation, deputies located a noose in the backyard area, consistent with the victim’s statement regarding the dog being hanged.
Animal Control was notified and responded to the scene. Custody of the dogs at the residence was transferred to St. Lucie County Animal Control for their safety and welfare. Deputies said that the dog Rosales hung in the tree was injured and in pain – but survived the ordeal.
Based on the witness statements, as well as evidence observed at the scene, Delfino Rosales was placed under arrest and charged with Battery by Strangulation (Domestic Violence), animal cruelty, and child abuse. Rosales remains incarcerated at the St. Lucie County Jail with no bond.
The Sheriff’s Office went on to say that this case is still active and remains under investigation. Rosales remains incarcerated at the St. Lucie County Jail with no bond.
