Michelle Woodbury: Missing and endangered adult reported missing in Charlotte County
(August 22, 2025) Yesterday, Florida’s Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and the National Center For Missing and Endangered (NCME) announced that 56-year-old Michelle Woodbury of Massachusetts, was scheduled to fly from Fort Lauderdale to Boston on August 17; but Michelle’s family reports that she never boarded that flight, never returned home to Boston, and has now been reported as missing.

CCSO and NCME are asking for the public’s assistance in assistance in locating her.
Because Michelle is known to suffer from bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and substance abuse – she has been categorized as not only missing – but endangered. Michelle is medication non-compliant.
Background: According to CCSO, an investigation revealed that on the afternoon of August 17, a call for service was placed to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office involving Woodbury refusing to exit an Uber at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall. The altercation was resolved, and this is the last time Woodbury was seen prior to her family contacting law enforcement.
Woodbury is known to spend time along Route 41 in Charlotte County, where she has many transient acquaintances from her time spent in the area last April. Specifically, family members noted she likes the Paddy Wagon Irish Pub and is known to stay at motels in the area, or sleep at parks and in bushes.
If anyone has information on where Michelle may be, please contact the CCSO non-emergency number (941) 639-2101.
