Sources familiar with the incident said the confrontation began after another inmate allegedly made a remark directed at Combs. Prison staff quickly intervened and stopped the fight. Reports indicate Combs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, although it remains unclear whether the move is temporary or part of a longer disciplinary measure.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the reported incident or Combs’ housing status, stating that it does not discuss the conditions of confinement, disciplinary actions, investigations, or housing assignments involving individual inmates for privacy, safety, and security reasons.

Combs, 56, has been incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix since October 2025, where he is serving a 50-month federal sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges during the widely publicized federal trial in Manhattan.
