‘Supergirl’ soars into theaters this summer as DC Studios unveils final trailer
DC Studios is preparing for one of its biggest releases of the summer with “Supergirl,” the latest feature film set in the expanding DC Universe, arriving in theaters and IMAX nationwide on June 26, 2026.
The film stars Milly Alcock (“House of the Dragon”) as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, bringing the iconic heroine to the big screen in a story that blends high-stakes action, interstellar adventure, and personal loss. Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, the movie follows Kara after a ruthless new enemy strikes close to home, forcing her into an uneasy alliance with an unlikely companion as she embarks on a galaxy-spanning mission fueled by both vengeance and justice.
Warner Bros. and DC Studios released the film’s final trailer on June 5, offering fans a fresh look at the action-packed spectacle, emotional character moments, and the cosmic scope of Supergirl’s latest adventure.
Alcock is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa.

The film is produced by DC Studios co-heads Peter Safran and James Gunn, continuing the studio’s effort to launch a new era of interconnected DC storytelling. Based on the DC Comics character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, “Supergirl” features cinematography by Rob Hardy, production design by Neil Lamont, and visual effects supervision by Geoffrey Baumann.
“Supergirl” opens internationally beginning June 24, 2026, before its North American theatrical and IMAX release on June 26 through Warner Bros. Pictures.
