On April 28, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida, announced the arrest of an attempted murder suspect.  Officials said that on Saturday afternoon, deputies learned that 26-year-old Leequan Stephon Jackson, also from Vero Beach, had crossed county lines in a stolen vehicle.

Law enforcement agents were already looking for Jackson in connection with a Miami shooting incident that went down the night before.  Unwisely for him, Jackson ventured back into Indian River County, where deputies and detectives were waiting for him.

Jackson was taken into custody and is presently being held at the Indian River County Jail.  He’s looking at charges that include attempted murder and tampering with victims.
